King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are a "very strong couple" but he "relies on wife for confidence," a body language expert has claimed. Charles, 74, and Camilla, 75, have a long-lasting love that spans decades, but the pair didn't marry until 2005, as Charles was previously wed to the late Princess Diana, the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. Camilla has long been regarded as a pillar of strength for her husband, especially now that he is King, following the death of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth in September last year.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Bingo, body language expert Darren Stanton has analysed the royal ahead of his upcoming Coronation, in comparison to his investiture as the Prince of Wales in 1969. He paid particular focus to the effect of Camilla being a strong figure by Charles' side, as she has been for years. Darren said: “Like Prince Philip was to the Queen, Camilla has also played an important part in Charles’ development.
"During their joint engagements, I have noticed that his confidence also flows from Camilla. She is never far from his side and if she is not in his sight, he generally finds himself looking for her. It demonstrates the two are a very strong couple." Darren continued: "I think Camilla is effectively his rock or backbone in regards to giving him advice.
"He does look to Camilla for a great deal of strength, especially when he’s in the public eye. As Charles is quite an introverted person, I don’t believe he is the biggest fan of public speaking, whereas Camilla does love talking and interacting with members of the public. I feel that this is a quality Charles admires and respects in his wife.
