Channel 4's Gogglebox is set to air with a new theme tune tonight, marking the first change in 11 years since the show's launch.
The reality TV favourite first graced our screens back in March 2013, with Kodaline's track 'Perfect World' setting the tone for each episode every Friday night at 9pm.
Despite changes in the cast of families and groups of friends from across the UK over its 23 series run, the theme tune has remained a constant - until now!
Tonight's episode will feature a slightly remixed version of the iconic theme, adding a classical twist. However, fans need not worry as this change to the BAFTA-winning show is only temporary and for one night only.
In the coming days, viewers may notice that some of Channel 4's most recognisable theme tunes sound a bit different. The title music for shows like Gogglebox and Countdown has been rearranged and performed on piano to celebrate the upcoming second series of The Piano, premiering on Channel 4 on Sunday, April 28, at 9pm.
Kodaline's lead singer Steve Garrigan has reworked their hit song 'Perfect World', which serves as Gogglebox's title music. In tonight's episode, airing on Channel 4 at 9pm, we'll hear the series' opening and closing music as a piano medley for the first time, reports the Mirror.
The much-adored theme, Best Endeavours, originally composed by Alan Hawkshaw for Channel 4 News, is also joining the piano celebration. A version of this iconic theme, rearranged and recorded by Phase Music and Universal Production Music, will feature in Sunday's news bulletin on Channel 4 at 6.30pm.
Not stopping at that, two more popular tunes will transubstantiate into delightful piano compositions. Countdown's well-known theme has got a lively piano remix, crafted by Steve
