Chadwick Boseman snubbed for posthumous Best Actor Oscar as he loses out to Anthony Hopkins

TMZ, Derrick Boseman said his brother would have been the first to wish Hopkins the best following his Sunday night win. The late actor would have seen winning an Oscar as an achievement but never an “obsession” said Boseman, adding that he felt all the shortlisted actors were worthy of the award.

Oscars 2021 broke the Academy Award's longstanding tradition, which was to have the prestigious Best Picture Oscar given at the very end. This time, it was the Academy Award for Best Actress and Actor in a Leading Role, who were given the 'final awards' spotlight.
