The newest series of Celebrity Race Across the World is well underway, with four celebs and a chosen partner racing their way through 24 different countries. One participant is McFly’s Harry Judd, whose mum Emma is already proving a fan favourite among viewers, with fans praising her for "embracing the culture" wherever see goes. Wednesday (27 September) night's episode saw Emma force her son to partake in some sight-seeing with her as they killed time before an overnight coach journey.
As these scenes unfolded, fans took to social media to express their fondness for Emma, with one writing: "Emma forcing Harry to see the cathedral of Porto is such a Mum mood. But it 100% would always beat a bus station! #RaceAcrossTheWorld." "There's no real jeopardy in the celeb version, as it's not like they're in it to win money... So I kinda respect Harry's mum for just doing it to embrace the culture wherever she goes.
#RaceAcrossTheWorld" added another. While a third added: "I don't think anyone has ever ascended to national treasure status as fast as Harry Judd's mum has. #RaceAcrossTheWorld." And a fourth penned: ".@mcflyharry and his mum on #raceacrosstheworld are absolute legends! Such an enjoyable series." Ahead of the show airing, Harry, 38, shared that he picked his mum as a way to reconnect with her, telling press: "I’m the youngest of three and was a mummy’s boy growing up.
"Then suddenly at 17, I was in this band and just so busy – the dynamic of our relationship shifted a lot. "I didn’t consider the impact that my leaving had on mum and now having children myself, I can relate to what she went through. "One of the things I enjoyed most was spending 10 hours on a train with her.
