The mum of Celebrity Big Brother star Lauren Harries has issued another health update on her daughter. The 45-year-old reality TV star had to undergo emergency surgery due to a "life-threatening spinal tear".
It comes as Lauren, who was a finalist in the 2013 series of the Channel 5 reality show, has been hospitalised for over three months now following brain surgery earlier this year. She started suffering from a mystery condition in April and was rushed to hospital.
Lauren's mum Katy has been keeping her fans and followers updated on her progress over Twitter. The star later having contracted infections following emergency brain surgery and was placed in an induced coma due to having suffered severe seizures.
Sadly the Channel 5 star continues to experience spinal issues after a recent operation was unsuccessful, with her mum Katy letting everyone know her daughter is in "constant pain" and is "unable to walk" in a health update.
Katy took to Twitter on Tuesday, where she wrote: "We were informed yesterday that Lauren has a life-threatening spinal tear.
"She is having emergency surgery today, the first of two operations. This has meant she is in constant pain and unable to walk it could also lead to more bleeding on the brain.
"She has been through so much in her 3 1/2 months in hospital, this is her 3rd operation. She's strong but needs your love.
"We are praying that they are successful and hope you do the same."
Fans first became aware of Lauren's health battle when a tweet was issued from Lauren's mum from her Twitter page in April, which read: "Please pray or send good thoughts to my precious daughter Lauren @LaurenHarries. Who is recovering from emergency brain surgery today."
