A sushi and steak restaurant that became a celebrity hotspot in Manchester has closed after two years. SakkuSamba on The Avenue in Spinningfields had initially announced it was closing for refurbishment earlier this month, but now it will transform into a new venue instead.

It included an avenue of pink sakura trees among tables and a giant light box that became a hotspot for guests to post the perfect "insta moment" from their night out.

The post added: "So let's raise a glass to the last weekend of SakkuSamba Manchester and don't be too sad, we still have our Bradford location for you to enjoy."
But owner Zack Issak has now confirmed that SakkuSamba will not reopen inside the Manchester venue.
