The 51-year-old Big Momma’s House actress started dating Ime, 42, back in 2010 and they also welcomed a son named Kez in November 2011. They got engaged in 2015, but it doesn’t seem like they’ll be taking that next step anytime soon.
“I understand the religious aspect of marriage. That is beautiful and it’s fantastical and it’s dreamy and it’s every girl’s fantasy to have that moment. But I don’t know that I need that to feel like I’m in a partnership that’s working,” Nia told Essence.
Nia also told Essence back in 2012 that “marriage is not a priority” for her.
