Cat Deeley will be the new face of ITV's This Morning following Holly Willoughby's shock exit.
The 47-year-old is set to join Rylan Clark on the morning programme from November 13.
A source described Cat as a 'seasoned pro' and bosses are delighted to have her joining the programme, adding that she 'takes live TV in her stride and is really witty and personable with guests' reports the Mirror.
"She is comfortable interviewing both popstars and politicians, so if it goes well she could be a much more permanent solution to Holly leaving. Cat would be a safe captain to steady the ship," the source added about choosing her as a host.
"Rylan was a resounding success too so fans can expect to see a lot more of him in the future," they added to The Sun.
Cat will star on the programme alongside Rylan for two days before she's joined by Craig Doyle on Wednesday.
Alison Hammond and Craig will appear on viewers screens on Thursday before the show returns with Alison and Dermot O'Leary at the end of the week.
The news comes as Holly dramatically quit the show over a month ao due to an alleged kidnap and murder plot against her, and since, ITV have been searching for a permanent replacement.
At the time, Holly took to social media to pen a poignant goodbye.
It read: "I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so, so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together.
