Police have issued an appeal for help to identify a man whose body was found in woodland on a hillside in Lancashire.

Two men were chased through a Tameside town centre by a gang of five before having cash and a Stone Island jacket stolen. Three teenage boys have been arrested after two men were targeted by robbers in the early hours.
Officers were called to reports of an incident outside the Prince of Orange pub on Warrington Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, at around 1am today (April 4). Greater Manchester Police says two men were targeted by a group of five males, who briefly managed to escape before being caught up again on Market Street.
One man had a blue Stone Island coat and money stolen from him, while the other victim also had money taken from him by the group. Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys on suspicion of robbery.

Enquiries are ongoing. Any witnesses are being urged to come forward.
DCI Abdul Kahar, of GMP's Neighbourhood Crime Team, said: “This was a distressing incident and I want to reassure the community that their safety is our top priority. We are appealing for those who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and speak to our officers, as it this may help with our enquiries.”
Anyone with any information about the incident is urged to call 101, quoting log number 102 of April 4, 2023. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
