Captain Tom Moore is set to be knighted following his outstanding fundraising efforts, Downing Street has confirmed.
The 100-year-old Second World War veteran raised more than £32m for NHS Charities Together last month just in time for his big birthday.
Mr Moore has become somewhat of a lockdown celebrity after his aim to raise £1,000 by walking 100 laps of his garden at his family home in Bedfordshire went viral.

The army veteran, who served in India and Burma during the Second World War, decided to mark his 100th birthday on 30 April by walking 100 laps of his garden and gaining praise from everyone from the Queen to Anthony Joshua.
