Like any big city across the UK, Manchester is connected by a rail network linking different areas of the region as well as connecting the city to the rest of the country.
It's a network that has served the Capital of the North for well over 100 years, with many of the stations dating back to the Victorian era in the 1800s.
The city even played host to the world's first passenger railway line with a route to Liverpool opening in 1830 and while the old Liverpool Road station has since been turned into a museum, stations in Eccles and Patricroft that date back to the same year are still standing.
With train stations dotted all over the region, many acting as landmarks as well as important transport hubs, we've put together a quiz to see how well you know your Greater Manchester locomotive spots. To test yourself, have a go below or via this link if it isn't displaying.
