BTS set for second UK Number 1 album with Map Of The Soul: 7

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's son is all set to reunite with his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth this summer as the couple have accepted the Queen's invitation to her summer residence at Balmoral Castle, her home in Scotland. According to a report in Sunday Times, Meghan and Harry plan to return to the UK sometime in summer with their son Archie to spend time with the Queen.

Firstly, the release of their album, Map of the Soul: 7 broke records not just in South Korea but all across the globe as well. It peaked at #1 in the Billboard 200 chart while the title song ON reached #4 in the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Moreover, MOTS: 7 managed to earn the top spots in the UK, Japan and Germany charts as well!

To say that BTS is rewriting history in the music scene would be an understatement! The popular K-pop band, which has now become a worldwide phenomenon, is tasting some well-deserved global success thanks to their latest album, Map of the Soul: 7, which dropped in February 2020. In its first week, MOTS: 7 earned the #1 spot in the Billboard 200 chart while simultaneously being #1 in the UK, Germany and Japan charts as well.

Furthermore, the lead single of 7 titled ON found an impressive place in the Billboard Top 100 Songs chart at #4.

Speeding along! Prince Harry joined Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton for the official opening of The Silverstone Experience museum in Northamptonshire — sans Meghan Markle — marking one of his last engagements before stepping back from his senior royal duties.

Map of the Soul: 7 is storming in the musical charts, not just in South Korea but on a worldwide scale as well. The album topped the charts in the US, the UK, Germany and Japan, which are the four leading music consuming nations.

Everywhere you look in the world of entertainment, you are reminded that the world is becoming increasingly multilingual.As my colleague Keith Caulfield reported on Sunday, BTS' Map of the Soul: 7 this week becomes the 10th album or EP that is performed primarily in a language other than English to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 -- dating back to that chart's inception in 1956.

As BTS celebrates its third career top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 (on the chart dated March 7), as "On" rockets in at No. 4, the best placement yet for the Korean pop superstars, the song also earns the distinction as the 20th hit sung primarily in a language other than English to hit the top 10.

The charts don't lie: K-pop group BTS are a phenomenon that are only going to get bigger and bigger.
