Neil Young has announced details of a new album called ‘Before And After’.Set for release later this year, the forthcoming LP will see the rock and roll icon re-visit his back catalogue and re-record various tracks in a new light.“Picking from a vast array of his originals, Young chooses favourites from his playbook like a trip into his music history,” reads a press release. It also states that the majority of tracks on the new album are solo acoustic re-recordings.Set to arrive on December 8 via Reprise, the album will see Young structure the tracklist so that the songs blend together and create one continuous flow from beginning to end.“The feeling is captured, not in pieces, but as a whole piece — designed to be listened to that way,” said Young of the new album.

Nadine Shah has announced a new album, ‘Filthy Underneath’, and shared its lead single ‘Topless Mother’.The follow-up to 2020’s ‘Kitchen Sink’ is set to be released on February 23, 2024, and marks the first release on the brand new EMI North label, which is based in Leeds and is the first major British label operating a physical space outside of London.Shah had been teasing the album last week, and, per a press release, it “chronicles a period of unprecedented turbulence” in Shah’s life “with renewed emphasis on placing melody and movement front and centre”. Marika Hackman has announced her new album ‘Big Sigh’, released its lead single ‘Hanging’ and has shared the dates for a UK and European tour.‘Big Sigh’ marks Hackman’s fourth studio album and the singer has revealed in a press release that it was the “hardest record” she has made.
