Britain's Got Talent came to an end over the weekend with a sensational live final, which saw Syndie Christmas bag the coveted winning slot. But as Ssaulabi Performance Troupe gave their all in the hopes of winning - they ended up having to dash to A&E after an accident in the performance. Now, Chanwoo Jeong, a member of the troupe, has revealed the extent of his injuries by sharing a snap to Instagram from hospital.
Showing his horrific leg injury, the performer took a picture of his leg bandaged up and wrote 'sigh'. During their performance, in which the troupe smashed planks whilst being thrown in the air, two members collided mid air, as Chanwoo was the one who came tumbling down to the ground. He managed to crawl offstage before being seen to by the show's medical team and going to hospital, as a spokesperson said on Monday: "During last night’s live final, a member of Ssaulabi Performance Troupe was injured.
He was quickly seen by our onsite medical team before going to hospital for further treatment. All at BGT wish him a speedy recovery." The performer was visited in hospital by his fellow troupe members, as they shared a snap to Instagram from his bedside and had brought him a Paddington teddy bear. During the final, concerned viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on the mishap, despite the show going on.
One group member however, did stop to check up on the injured party, who was seen crawling off the stage. “I'm pretty sure that one of the team members injured, if not broke, his leg during that performance,” said one. “That guy just broke his leg!” exclaimed another.
