A brewery has taken a cheeky dig at a new skyscraper which dwarfs a 280-year-old city centre pub. The controversial 16-storey glass tower has been developed by billionaire bookie Fred Done's construction firm Salboy.
The 'Shudehill Shard', as the building's been dubbed, stands right next to the historic Lower Turk's Head opposite Shudehill bus station.
Photographer Carl Thompson tweeted a picture of the development alongside the Sesame Street lyrics 'One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn't belong'.

Joseph Holt brewery, which runs the Turk's Head, replied to the tweet with a side eyes emoji, often used to convey suspicion, skepticism or disappointment.
The controversial tower was the subject of a long-running planning battle, with critics saying it didn't fit in with the Northern Quarter's surroundings.
Hundreds of people signed a petition protesting the plans, with ward councillors also speaking out against it. However in 2019 Salboy were finally granted planning permission after a several previous applications were knocked back.
Originally intended for flats, the tower is now earmarked for offices. As the Manchester Eveing News has previously reported, another of the city centre's most historic pubs could also be overshadowed by a huge skyscraper.
Plans have been drawn up to build a 26-storey tower next to the Grade II-listed Briton's Protection, prompting a backlash from campaigners and the pub's landlord.
