A cyclist has died after being hit by a car in Gorton.
The smash happened on Hyde Road just after 1.45am this morning (Wednesday).
A black Saab collided with a bike, police said.
The cyclist - a 56-year-old man - was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He has since sadly died.
The driver of the car, a 66-year-old man, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
