Jesse Kozechen and his beloved Golden Retriever Shurastey have sadly passed away.
The 29-year-old Brazilian influencer and his dog were in the process of their five-year journey driving from Brazil to Alaska, and just days before reaching their final destination, they died in car crash.

On Monday (May 23), Jesse was driving Volkswagen Beetle on Highway 199 outside of Salem, Oregon around 10:30am when he tried to pass a line of cars that slowed down for a turning car ahead.
Jesse swerved into oncoming traffic and hit another car, Oregon State Police shared in a statement with People.
Jesse and his dog were declared dead on the scene. The driver of the other vehicle suffered injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Since September 2017, Jesse has been chronicling his and Shurastey‘s journey driving in their Beetle from Brazil to Alaska on his Instagram.
Jesse‘s final post was from over the weekend where he took to Shurastey‘s Instagram account to reveal that they were camping in Oregon before planning on getting back on the road to cross the border into Canada before reaching their final stop in Alaska.
Our thoughts are with Jesse‘s loved ones during this difficult time.
