The television comedy “Awkafina Is Nora From Queens” draws inspiration from creator and writer Awkwafina’s life experiences growing up in Queens, N.Y. — and she’ll also make her directorial debut with Season 3. On the show, Awkwafina (aka Nora Lin) maneuvers through the hardships of young adulthood with the support of her closest family members, her father (BD Wong), grandmother (Lori Tan Chinn) and cousin (Bowen Yang). From the looks of the teaser, it looks like their lively, eccentric family dynamic from previous seasons will still be present in Season 3.

The film, directed by Ashima Chibber and written by Rahul Handa, Sameer Satija and Chibber, is based on the true story of an Indian couple whose children were taken away from them by Norwegian welfare services in 2011. Mukerji plays the titular Mrs. Chatterjee who battles with the Norwegian government to reunite with her children. The modestly budgeted film released on March 17 and has grossed some $3.2 million worldwide so far.

This is Devgn’s fourth directorial effort after “U Me Aur Hum” (2008), “Shivaay” (2016) and “Runway 34” (2022). A remake of 2019 Tamil-language hit “Kaithi,” “Bholaa” follows a prisoner who is going to meet his young daughter after being released from jail. However, he gets embroiled in an epic journey that sees him up against a drug cartel and helping the police. “We are keeping the basic storyline similar, obviously that’s the reason you make a remake, because we like the storyline. We’ve altered a lot of characters, a little bit of the screenplay, and the characteristics of people. The drama has changed in a way, the emotions have changed – somewhere I would say enhanced, more underlined,” Devgn told Variety.

Helen Mirren turned her latest premiere into a family affair. At Tuesday night's premiere of her upcoming film, "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," Mirren walked the red carpet alongside her young grandson Basil.The two made their way down the red carpet hand in hand and posed for pictures.  Mirren wore a floor length black gown with lace over the front and on the arms, and Basil wore a blue button down shirt with black jeans.  While the "1923" star doesn't have any children of her own, she is very close with her husband Taylor Hackford's two children, her stepsons Rio and Alexander Hackford.
