A body has been found in the search for a missing Scots teen.
William Clarke was reported missing from his home on Ardvasar, Skye, on Sunday night, sparking an urgent search operation to find him.
This morning, Lochaber & Skye Police confirmed the tragic discovery of a body during their bid to trace the 16-year-old, who was also known as Will.
Officers say that while formal identification is yet to take place, the teen’s family have been informed.
There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the young man's death.
Cops have sent their condolences to William's loves ones, and thanked cross-partner agencies and the public for their help in the initial search.
Inspector Isla Campbell said: “Our condolences are with William’s family and friends.
"His family have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
"I would like to thank all agencies and members of the public who assisted in the search for William.”
