Bobby Brazier has admitted he breaks down in tears when he sees videos of his late mum Jade Goody. The 18 year old model lost his beloved parent when he was just five years old in 2009, after she was diagnosed with cervical cancer a year before. The teenage star recently revealed he doesn't even "miss" the Big Brother beauty, as he simply didn't have "enough time" with her as a child.
But while Bobby and his brother Freddie have done their best to move forward with the help of their dad Jeff Brazier and stepmother Kate Dwyer over the years, it's still hard to reflect on such a monumental loss, as Jade was only 27 when she died. In a new interview, rising fashion star Bobby explained he can only manage watching clips of Jade during her TV appearances at certain times because it upsets him too much. “I’m always being told that she’s a hero and that she was funny and that people see me in her on a daily basis, which is nice,” he told The Face.
“I’m lucky that [her life was] kind of public, because it means that I can watch videos when I’m feeling strong enough to watch videos. "But sometimes I can’t. I will cry if I do," the model admitted.
Speaking about how he was raised by other strong women, Bobby went on: “So in a way, I don’t feel like I’ve missed out on a mum. It’s normal life to me. "I’ve kind of spent more life without her than I did with her," the teen added.
Despite that, Bobby went on to tell the publication that he feels like the hand Jade and his family were dealt was an "unfair" one. He said he missed what "could have been," especially because he hears so often that Jade was such a big character and personality and she had a "presence" like no other. Become an OK!
