Pictures show the scene after a driver smashed their car into a barrier near the Trafford Centre. The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon (April 13).
Passers by snapped pictures showing the blue BMW crushed against a metal barrier on the B5214 (Trafford Blvd) near the Premier Inn Hotel. It is understood the smash did not cause any congestion at the time and that the road remained open.
The crash happened at around 1.30pm in the afternoon, with the North West Ambulance Service later confirming that nobody was taken to hospital after the incident. It happened close to the slip road onto the eastbound carriageway of the M60.

Greater Manchester Police attended the scene which was later made safe. The barrier was left visibly damaged after the smash, and the bonnet was crushed in the impact of the collision.
The left lane was blocked off temporarily by police. More details about the nature of the incident have not yet been confirmed and it is not known if any arrests have been made. GMP have been contacted for further information.
