The 1975 to pay Malaysian festival organiser £2million in seven days or face legal action in the UK

The 1975 have been ordered to pay a Malaysian festival organiser over £2million in damages within seven days or face legal action in the UK.Future Sound Asia (FSA), the organiser of Kuala Lumpur’s Good Vibes Festival (GVF), has confirmed that it has issued a seven-day Letter of Claim to the UK band requesting for RM12.3million (£2,099,154.54) in damages following the cancellation of the festival last month. The Letter of Claim was previously announced on August 7, though further details were unknown at the time.In a new statement to the Malay Mail, the festival’s organiser’s legal counsel David Mathew from Steven Thiru & Sudhar Partnership said that the seven-day notice is dated August 7, meaning the band have until August 14 to pay the damages before legal action is taken against them.“In the letter, FSA has demanded that The 1975 admit their liability and also pay the sum of £2,099,154.54 (RM12,347,967.91) within seven (7) days,” David Mathew told Malay Mail. “The Letter of Claim is written in accordance with the provisions of the English Practice Direction Pre-Action Conduct and Protocol which are part of the English Civil Procedure Rules.”According to Mathew, a large component of FSA’s Letter of Claim is attributed towards frontman Matty Healy’s breach of contract.

What do last-minute Outside Lands Music Festival tickets cost?

Outside Lands Music Festival is dropping into the Bay Area’s Golden Gate Park for three days of good vibes, hot jams and big stars.Personally, we’re most excited about Kendrick Lamar, Foo Fighters, Odesza, Lana Del Rey and The 1975 gracing the stages.Other huge acts set to perform include Megan Thee Stallion, Zedd, Janelle Monáe, Maggie Rogers and Noah Kahan.Father John Misty, Willow, Lil Yachty, beabadoobe and Interpol will be there too. There’s only one problem.Last-minute tickets are quite pricey. At the time of publication, three-day general admission passes start at $852 before fees on Vivid Seats.Still, pound for pound, for the amount of talent gathered in one space over three-days, that’s not a terrible deal.In fact, $852 is cheaper than tickets to quite a few Taylor Swift shows on her upcoming tour’s international calendar.Need more details before committing?Keep scrolling. We’ve got all the information you’re looking for and more below. All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.A complete breakdown of all the best prices on last-minute single and multi-day Outside Lands passes can be found below.(Note: The New York Post confirmed all above prices at the publication time. Grace Jones and Young Fathers – they are unable to accommodate day ticket holders. They wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we inform you we are unable to accommodate Sunday day ticket holders to Bluedot Festival today, Sunday 23rd July. If you are a Sunday day ticketholder please do not travel to Bluedot today.”The festival went on to say that weekend ticket holders already on site will be permitted to stay, adding: “We’ve had an unprecedented amount of rainfall over the past seven days that has seen the water level reach saturation point during the night, rendering our day ticket holder car park, pick-up and drop-off point and entrances impassable due to standing water.“We have worked hard this weekend and throughout last night, laying over 1.5km of additional track mat and track way, 130 tonnes of sustainably sourced wood chip and bringing multiple trucks on site to pump out standing water.“However, despite our continued work throughout the weekend it has reached the point where it is not possible to accommodate further audience vehicles on site.”An important update regarding Sunday day ticketholders.
