Emily Longeretta The upcoming 14th season of “Blue Bloods” will be its last. The CBS police procedural, starring Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Will Estes, Bridget Moynahan and Vanessa Ray, will get a two-part final season consisting of 18 episodes.
The first 10 will air this midseason, kicking off on Feb 16 on CBS and Paramount+. The second half of the seasons, consisting of eight episodes, will debut in fall 2024.
CBS recently announced the end of “Young Sheldon” as well, whose final season will consist of 14 episodes. “For the past 13 years it has been an honor and a privilege to work on a show that not only celebrates the men and women who protect and serve in New York City, but also displayed the importance of family,” Selleck said in a statement on Monday.
“Working alongside these incredible actors, writers, producers, directors and crew has been a dream come true and I’m grateful to have been a part of this extraordinary group for over 275 episodes. Thank you to CBS Studios and CBS Network for their steadfast support and we offer heartfelt gratitude to the fans who gathered with us for dinner every Friday night.” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment and David Stapf, president of CBS Studios, added that the show is a “beloved part of CBS’ legacy,” as it has ruled Friday nights since its debut.
The series has won its Friday night timeslot in total viewers every season since its 2010 launch. “Blue Bloods” has aired 275 episodes and will end with 293.
