Bleecker Street Unveils First-Look Footage From Cate Blanchett Starrer ‘Rumours,’ Starry Comedy ‘The Fabulous Four’ & More In 10th Anniversary Reel

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Casey Affleck says that “Midnight Run” served as his inspiration for writing a brand new Boston-based heist film called “The Instigators.” This news comes fresh off the heels of both Affleck and Matt Damon playing military men in last year’s global phenomenon “Oppenheimer.” The film is co-written by Affleck and features the two going back to their Boston origins.

The series is based on the true story of the murder of Reena Virk (played by Vritika Gupta), a 14 year old girl who was killed by a group of fellow teenagers – her supposed friends – in 1997 British Columbia. Keough plays Rebecca Godfrey (who wrote the book that the show is based on), Gladstone plays local cop Cam Bentland, and Panjabi plays Suman Virk, Reena’s mother.

In his previous role, he led both the curation of Bleecker’s film slate and the company’s home entertainment strategy, including co-founding and co-running home entertainment label Decal, which Bleecker operates as a joint-venture with Neon.
