A spokesperson said: "This pertains to a minor oversight in our payroll processes that occurred between 2017 and 2019, involving 12 individuals, which has now been rectified."
The government said: "While not all cases of minimum wage underpayment are deliberate, there is no excuse for depriving workers of their rightful wages."
The businesses listed range from major high street brands to small enterprises and independent traders. Kevin Hollinrake, minister for enterprise, markets and small business, said: "Adhering to the legal minimum wage is non-negotiable, and businesses of all sizes should know better than to short change their hardworking staff."
"While the majority of businesses do right by their employees, we are sending a clear message to the minority who choose to flout the law - pay your workers fairly, or be prepared to face the consequences."
