BLACKPINK’s vibrant Coachella 2023 headlining set was a literal showstopper

Frank Ocean’s divisive Coachella headline set after sharing a multi-cam fan edit of the performance.Ocean headlined the closing night of the first weekend of Coachella Festival earlier this month. It was his first live gig since 2017 but the reaction to Ocean’s performance from fans was mixed, with the show starting late and getting abruptly cut short.

Coachella 2023 Weekend 2 kicks off today (April 21), with Blink-182 headlining in Frank Ocean’s stead, followed (confusingly) by a festival-closing DJ set from Skrillex, Four Tet, and Fred Again... The undercard filled with FADER favorites: Björk, Weyes Blood, Alex G, Kali Uchis, GloRilla, Sudan Archives, Christine and the Queens, and others.

Coachella 2023 Weekend 2 continues today (April 22), with BLACKPINK headlining and many more FADER favorites filling out the undercard: Jai Paul will play his second-ever live show, following a successful weekend one performance, with Rosalía, Charli XCX, Yaeji, Ethel Cain, and others also on the bill. Gorillaz‘ set at Coachella 2023’s second weekend, the band brought out a star-studded list of guests that included appearances from Bad Bunny, Little Simz and more.The band brought out the Puerto Rican reggaeton star – who will close out this weekend’s first night with a headline set – to perform ‘Tormenta’. Bad Bunny features on the studio version of the song, which is from Gorillaz’ latest album, ‘Cracker Island’.

Boygenius spoke out for trans rights last night (April 15) as they made their second appearance at Coachella 2023.The trio featuring – Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker – previously teamed up with MUNA the previous day (April 14) at the festival to perform the track ‘Silk Chiffon’.Arriving onstage to Thin Lizzy‘s ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’, the band played a host of tracks from their debut album ‘The Record’ including ‘$20’, ‘Salt In The Wound’, ‘Me & My Dog’ and ‘Anti-Curse’.During the set, at one point Baker spoke up for trans rights. “I don’t know if you’ve been checking the news and seeing what’s been going on in Florida and Missouri and some of the other places, but trans lives matter, trans kids matter.
