P&G and iHeartMedia have teamed for “Can’t Cancel Pride: A COVID-19 Relief Benefit for the LGBTQ+ Community.”  The special will raise funds for LGTBQ+ communities most impacted by COVID-19.

LGBTQ+ stars and allies including Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Billy Porter, Big Freedia, and Sia are teaming up this month to keep the legacy of Pride alive in 2020, despite social-distancing restrictions forcing most would-be celebrations to shut down. Spurred by the callous disregard for Black lives, artists are hoping to use their platforms as microphones to invoke reform in both the short and long term.

She kept her presence at the protest off of social media, aside from one video, which she posted to her Instagram Story. Billie doesn’t appear in the video herself, as she’s filming the hundreds of other protesters who are joining her to fight against racial injustice.

Selena Gomez is using her platform to amplify black voices. The 27-year-old singer expressed on Instagram on Thursday that she’s been trying to find the best way to help amid the Black Lives Matter movement and ongoing protests against police brutality.
