‘Billions’: Sakina Jaffrey Joins Showtime Drama As Series Regular

Grantchester is returning to our TV screens tonight (March 11) after a five-month wait for fans up and down the country. The seventh season will start at the end of the 1950s but even with a new decade approaching, there are still crimes to be solved.

Peacock has put in development Avenger Field, a one-hour drama series starring and executive produced by Oscar winner Renée Zellweger, from writer Felicia D. Henderson and MGM Television, Deadline has confirmed. The project also hails from Zellweger’s Big Picture Co, Toluca Pictures and North Rose Pictures. MGM Television is the studio.

On March 1, it will be exactly four years since season 2 of Donald Glover’s critical smash-hit “Atlanta” premiered on FX. Obviously, a lot’s gone on in the world since the series’s popularity soared, so it’s entirely possible that some fans may have moved on from the show.

The series will detail the darkly comedic, crime-ridden story behind the unique male revue that became a cultural phenomenon.De Jesús will appear in the recurring role of Ray Colon. Described as a proud Nuyorican from the Bronx, Colon comes on the Chippendales scene as the resident handyman and self-proclaimed jack of all trades.
