Renée Zellweger to Star in World War II WASP Drama Series in the Works at Peacock (EXCLUSIVE)

Joe Otterson TV ReporterHendrix Yancey has been cast in a main role of the Peacock true crime series “A Friend of the Family.”She joins previously announced cast members Mckenna Grace, Anna Paquin, Jake Lacy, Colin Hanks, and Lio Tipton. The series is based on the true story of the Broberg family, whose daughter Jan was kidnapped multiple times over a period of years by a charismatic, obsessed family “friend.”Yancey will play Jan Broberg in the early years. Jan is the oldest daughter of Bob (Hanks) and Mary Ann Broberg (Paquin) and leads a happy, traditional life in an idyllic American city.

Renée Zellweger, love was basically written in the stars. It's been almost a year since reports first emerged of the actress' budding romance with boyfriend Ant Anstead, the TV host who was briefly married to Christina Haack. He and the Oscar winner met on an episode of the show he co-hosts,  -- an encounter that seems serendipitous to Zellweger now considering what led up to them crossing paths. As she recalled in a new interview as the April cover star of , the actress recalled watching an episode of a series hosted by the Property Brothers in which celebrities show their gratitude to special people in their lives with a renovation. At the time,  -- a spinoff that focused on cars instead of homes -- was in production with Anstead, and Zellweger wanted to pay it forward.

How it all began! Renée Zellweger revealed the origin story of her red-hot romance with boyfriend Ant Anstead! The Oscar winner, 52 opened up about the “serendipitous” meeting between her and the British television host, 42, in 2021 that ended up igniting their love for each other. While the introduction was undoubtedly an adorable meet-cute, there was also a shadow of sadness to it, as Renee was grieving the loss of her good friend and publicist Nanci Ryder, who passed way in June 2020 from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

Joe Otterson TV ReporterThe “Interview with the Vampire” series at AMC has cast Eric Bogosian in the role of Daniel Molloy.The series, which is currently in production, is based on the Anne Rice book of the same name and follows follows Louis de Pointe, Lestat De Lioncourt and Claudia’s epic story of love, blood and the perils of immortality. Bogosian joins previously announced cast members such as Sam Reid as Lestat, Jacob Anderson as Louis, and Bailey Bass as Claudia.Molloy is described as an investigative journalist nearing the end of his career who’s given a second chance at the interview of a lifetime.

Kiss kiss! As Ant Anstead’s romance with Renée Zellweger has continued to heat up, the England native couldn’t resist sharing their love.

Peacock has put in development Avenger Field, a one-hour drama series starring and executive produced by Oscar winner Renée Zellweger, from writer Felicia D. Henderson and MGM Television, Deadline has confirmed. The project also hails from Zellweger’s Big Picture Co, Toluca Pictures and North Rose Pictures. MGM Television is the studio.
