Billie Eilish has opened up about her sexuality, admitting that she is "physically attracted" to women, which comes after years of avoiding questions about her sexual orientation. The Grammy award-winning singer spoke candidly about her sexuality and gender identity this week, revealing her attraction towards women. In the past, when asked if she was bisexual, Billie dismissed the queries, stating it was "nobody's business" and criticising the media for not treating male musicians the same way, but she now seems ready to talk about it.
Speaking to Variety, she said: "I've never really felt like I could relate to girls very well," but added: "I love them so much. I love them as people. I'm attracted to them as people.
I'm attracted to them for real." Billie confessed that she wasn't always a "girl's girl" growing up and often felt other girls didn't like her. But now, she has a deep love for the women in her life. She shared with the news outlet: "I have deep connections with women in my life, the friends in my life, the family in my life." She added: "I'm physically attracted to them.
But I'm also so intimidated by them and their beauty and their presence." Alongside opening up about her sexuality, Billie also discussed her gender identity and how she's been sexualised throughout her career. When she first started out, Billie was known for covering up her body, often wearing baggy sweatshirts and hoodies on stage. But as she's grown and her fashion sense has evolved, she's become more comfortable showing off her figure, admitting she's not scared of being sexualised in her new wardrobe.
