A motorcyclist was left with serious injuries following a crash near a popular beauty spot.
The collision happened at around 3.30pm on Sunday on Edenfield Road, close to the Ashworth Moor Reservoir and Owd Betts pub, between Rochdale and Edenfield.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene and the road was closed for some time while they treated the biker - described by the ambulance service as a man in his 40s.
The area was extremely busy over the weekend with visitors travelling to the moors
