After five years away from our screens, Big Brother made its highly anticipated return last night as viewers tuned in to see 16 housemates enter the iconic house. Fronted by presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best, the new series of the ITV show saw individuals from all walks of life, including an NHS manager to a lawyer, swap their day-to-day lives for what could be a six week stint in the new and improved Big Brother house. However, for some of the housemates a stint in the Big Brother house isn’t the first taste of life in front of the TV cameras, and some contestants have racked up stints on different TV shows in the past.
In fact, Farida, who was the second housemate to enter the house, has previously appeared on two TV shows - and one of them saw her star alongside two iconic names from Big Brother history. After Farida, 50, was announced as appearing on the show, social media users pointed out that she’d recently appeared on an episode of Blankety Blank with former Big Brother hosts Rylan Clark and Emma Willis. “Here’s housemate Farida on Blankety Blank recently, where amongst the panelists were former BB hosts,” wrote one Big Brother fan on the social media platform X.
Meanwhile, others also pointed out that she’s previously taken part in Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me. “Come dine with me? Blankety blank… now Big Brother…Farida seems to be getting around. #BigBrotherUK #bigbrother #BBUK,” wrote one.
But she’s not the only one who’s no stranger to the world of TV. Fellow housemate Kerry also appears to have been on the small screen in the past and managed to win an impressive £35,000 while on Deal or No Deal back in 2007.
