Big Brother's Farida was caught up in an argument with a co-star back in 2009. Before heading into the Big Brother house, Farida had previously tried her luck on another telly competition – Come Dine With Me.
Hosting her fellow contestants on the amateur cooking show, Farida aimed to immerse her guests in authentic Indian culture. But all didn't go to plan as some dinner party attendees were left less than impressed.
One guest, Michael, rated Farida's evening a mediocre seven out of 10, saying the dinner was lacking the "wow factor". Explaining his reasons for the score, he said, "The evening lacked a wow factor...
and because of the lack of alcohol for the guest." At the end of the show, a preview of the next episode saw tensions rise between Farida and Michael as they stood in a child's bedroom. Having voiced her opinion on something, Michael heatedly replied, "How many kids have you had? You say what my sister, you've never had a kid in your life." The pair hurriedly spoke over one another, as another guest could be seen minding his business in the background.
Aside from her stint on Come Dine With Me, Farida also appeared on an episode of Blankety Blank – a game show previously hosted by Paul O'Grady before Bradley Walsh took the reins in 2022. Recognising the 50-year-old make-up artist, who was second to enter the Big Brother house on Sunday 8 October, one viewer posted on X, formerly Twitter, “Come Dine With Me? Blankety Blank… now Big Brother… Farida seems to be getting around.” Another added, "Wasn’t Farida just on Blankety Blank like 2 weeks ago???? #BBUK." While a third posted, “So THAT’S why Farida seemed familiar… She was on #BlanketyBlank the other week, with former #bbuk hosts Rylan and Emma!!” Away from
