Beyonce‘s new album Renaissance has been in stores for more than a week and it officially has topped the charts for the first week of release!
Billboard just reported the sales numbers for Renaissance‘s first week and it marks the biggest opening week for a female artist in 2022 and the first album released this year by a woman to top the Billboard 200 chart.
All seven of Beyonce‘s solo studio albums have now charted at number one on the Billboard 200, starting with 2003′s Dangerously in Love.

Billboard reports that Renaissance sold 332,000 equivalent album units for the week ending August 4.
Of those 332,000 units, there were 190,000 album sales, 138,000 streaming equivalent units, and 4,000 track equivalent units.
The only album in 2022 to have a bigger sales week was Harry Styles‘ Harry’s House, which launched with 521,000 units back in June.
