Beyoncé has done it again! The superstar is officially an Oscar nominee, after breaking the record for most Grammy wins in history last year, the singer is now coming for the Academy Awards.

Thanks to his 2022 Oscar nomination for his work on the Disney movie "Encanto," Lin-Manuel Miranda could become the 17th person ever to earn an EGOT.  "EGOT" stands for Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony, the four major awards in show business. While many consider themselves lucky to nab even one, others, like Whoopi Goldberg, Rita Moreno, Mel Brooks and John Legend, can boast of winning all four.  Now, thanks to his nomination for best original song, "Dos Oruguitas," in the animated film, a win could add the "Hamilton" creator to the list of EGOT winners.

Will Smith scored his third and fourth Oscar nominations this morning as the star and producer of King Richard, doubling his Oscar nominations haul and becoming only the ninth producer-actor to nab both nominations for the same film. “It’s six nominations total,” Smith tells Deadline, “and this is rarefied air for me. I’ve been nominated two other times, but it’s never been this kind of blanket love, you know?”

Many expected tick, tick… BOOM! to tell the story of that artistic and commercial triumph, but no—it tells instead of the myriad failures that Larson experienced, with dogged determination, in the run-up.

Beyoncé and Billie Eilish have both earned their first nominations at the Oscars in today’s (February 8) shortlist announcement.The nominees for the 2022 Academy Awards were announced earlier this afternoon, with the ceremony set to take place on March 27.Beyoncé and Eilish are among the five artists to be listed in the Best Original Score category, alongside Diane Warren (Four Good Days), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Encanto) and Van Morrison (Belfast). Eilish is nominated for her Bond theme tune ‘No Time To Die’, while Beyoncé is up for ‘Be Alive’, her contribution to the soundtrack of King Richard.Upon its release last year, ‘Be Alive’ marked the US superstar’s first piece of new material since her 2020 visual album, ‘Black Is King’.

Billie Eilish could soon be halfway to an EGOT!The seven-time GRAMMY winner landed her first Oscar nomination on Tuesday, scoring a Best Original Song nod for «No Time to Die» from the 2021 James Bond film of the same name.Eilish was nominated alongside her brother and creative partner, Finneas, for scoring the opening credits to Daniel Craig's 007 swan song. However, due to COVID-19 theater restrictions, «No Time to Die» was actually released in May 2020, a year and a half before its accompanying film would hit theaters.Following the news of their nomination, Billie and Finneas released a statement to ET, saying, «Words cannot describe how honored and excited we are to have been nominated for an Academy Award for our song 'No Time To Die.'
