Television favourite Julia Bradbury has been bravely sharing her journey with breast cancer since she announced her diagnosis last September. Recently, the mum-of-three brilliantly a picture of herself sporting a bikini for the first time since the operation whilst holidaying in Mauritius – proving that having a mastectomy needn't get in the way of looking and feeling great in swimwear. In the photo, Julia could be seen adjusting her ponytail while wearing a stunning blue paisley print bikini from Melissa Odabash which is paired with a matching pink print wrap-around dress.

I was fortunate to be able to have immediate recon after my breast was removed containing a 6cm tumour. “Nothing prepares you for the shock & impact...& yet but here I am in a bikini again. Didn't think this would happen.
Wearing wraps helps too.” Many women who have undergone mastectomies and breast reduction surgeries say they prefer pocketed styles, which are designed to offer chest support and discreetly keep everything in place. And there are plenty of brands on the high street and online which offer stunning post-mastectomy swimwear, from bikinis to swimsuits. From Next to Amoena, Something Pretty and Pink Ribbon Lingerie, they all offer stunning designs, which will leave feeling supported and body-confident.
