Former England rugby star Ben Foden has sent well wishes to his ex wife Una Healy and says he wants her to be happy. Speaking exclusively to OK!, Ben - who is now married to US socialite Jackie Belanoff Smith - opened up about his ex, who he split from in 2018. He said: “The most important thing is that she’s happy and we wish Una happiness in every way.” Ben, 37, who has daughter Aoife, 11 and son Tadgh, eight, with Una and daughter Farrah, three, with pregnant Jackie, added that Jackie and Una have worked hard to create a solid blended family together.
Ben, 38, and Una, 41, ended their marriage following allegations that Ben had cheated on Una on a night out with rugby pals, shortly after the birth of their son in 2015. In 2020, Una spoke about the tough time, and admitted there were times she hit “rock bottom”. She explained that some days she would become overcome with emotion but found strength in the children to move forward.
“When you’re in hell, you can’t go round it, you have to go through it. It’s the only way," Una said. She added: “For the sake of the kids I had to stay strong.
Obviously they’ve seen me upset, and there have been moments where I’ve just started crying, but both of them would come up and give me a hug or write little notes saying ‘I love you’ and I knew I had to pull myself out of it. ““Everything is for them.
They are the most important thing in my life and I have to guide them now.” However, it seems time has been a healer and any tension between Una and Ben has thawed. In April, Una shared a sweet picture of Ben with their kids as he made a return to Ireland where Una and the children live.
