Joe Otterson TV Reporter The new “Beavis and Butt-Head” series has been renewed for Season 3, but at a new network. While the first two seasons of the revived series are available on Paramount+, the second season will debut on Comedy Central on July 10. The third season will also air first on Comedy Central.
Production is already underway on the third season, which is slated for a 2025 debut. In addition, the revival film “Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe” will air on Comedy Central on July 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
Interestingly, when the new series was first announced in 2020, it was reported that it would air on Comedy Central with a two-season order. “Do the Universe” instead debuted on Paramount+ in 2022, with the new seasons dropping in 2022 and 2023. Mike Judge created the series and voices many of the characters.
He is also an executive producer along with Lew Morton and Michael Rotenberg, as well as Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Ben Kalina and Antonio Canobbio for Titmouse. MTV Entertainment Studios produces. The series officially launched in 1993 on fellow Paramount cable network MTV.

Odessa A’zion (“Sitting in Bars with Cake,” “Grand Army”), Jordan Firstman (“Rotting in the Sun,” “Dave”), Miles Robbins (“Blockers,” “Old Dads”), and True Whitaker (“Godfather of Harlem”) are all set to star in project, which was picked up to pilot at HBO in March. Sennot will also star in the series.

The Oscar winner will appear in the new season of the Apple TV+ series alongside stars Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston as well as cast members Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm, and Nicole Beharie. Cotillard will star as Celine Dumont, described as “a savvy operator from a storied European family.” This will be one of the few TV roles Cotillard has held in her career.

Linklater will play the character Cipher, described as “the charismatic and charming newly-appointed Dean of Godolkin University. Trained as a scientist, he’s politically brilliant, and has the trust and admiration of officials at the highest level.” The series, a spinoff of the popular Prime Video series “The Boys,” follows the students of Godolkin University as they train to become superheroes.
“Saturday Night Live” crew members revealed that Ryan Gosling’s hilarious “Beavis and Butt-Head” sketch that aired in April was in the works for six years. Hair stylist Jodi Mancuso and makeup artist Louie Zakarian told the Ankler on Monday that Jonah Hill was originally going to star in the bit when he hosted “SNL” in 2018.“Even at that time it was late coming into the show, so there wasn’t a lot of prep time, and I wasn’t fully happy with the wigs,” said Mancuso, 49.

The official logline states, “Based on a real Catholic organization, ‘The Miracle Department’ is a heartfelt, comedic, hour-long series about a brilliant, but disgraced, former FBI agent who joins forces with a quirky task force to hunt for genuine miracles.” Brendan McCarthy and Alex Kavallierou serve as writers and executive producers on the project. “Friends” co-creator Marta Kauffman will also executive produce via Okay Goodnight along with Robbie Rowe Tollin and Hannah K.S.

During the amfAR Gala at the Cannes Film Festival, which raises money for research to end HIV and AIDS, Winnie Harlow and Paris Jackson appeared onstage to auction off a walk-on role in a previously unannounced fifth season of the Netflix series. The winner of the auction shelled out €250,000 to appear in the series as well as the chance to attend the Season 4 premiere in Los Angeles.
