BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Janette Manrara says 'sorry' as she shares battle with daughter after long-haul trip

Janette Manrara was left saying 'sorry' to her fans for her lack of updates after previously sharing why she'd been 'MIA' from social media following a wholesome trip back to America to reunite with her family alongside her daughter for the first time.
The presenter and dancer left the UK earlier this month and headed to Miami with her husband Aljaz Skorjanec and their little girl, Lyra Rose, marking the little one's first trip at 10 months to the United States, and her first long-haul trip since being born in July 2023.
During their trip, Janette was seen taking Lyra to meet Mickey Mouse for the first time with adorable results and spending time in the iconic parks with her parents and siblings. Janette also told how they'd pulled themselves away from DisneyWorld and celebrated Lyra's birthday early with her family setting up a mermaid-themed bash.

However, after having to say a tough goodbye to Janette's family, the Strictly Come Dancing star disappeared from social media. But on Sunday (June 16), as she marked Aljaz's first Father's Day, the mum-of-one explained the reason for her silence.
In a video posted to her Instagram Story, Janette spoke directly to the camera and said: "Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. Hope you're having an amazing day and also just wanted to send my love to anyone who has lost their father, I know that today can be a bit of a tough day so sending my love to you too."
