A couple moved across the world in search for their dream home and were left emotional after finding 'the one'. Tiffany and George from Canada appeared on Escape to the Country and were moved to tears after packing up their life to move to Wales.
The episode, which was first shown on BBC in October 2022, saw them ask property expert Briony May Williams to help them find a stone countryside cottage in Anglesey. The pair, who met online, said that they've always dreamed of living in a stone farmhouse with lots of animals.
They wanted a property steeped in history, with a cosy snug, an office, a big garden for their two dogs, and at least three bedrooms for guests, and set themselves a budget of £450,000.

Even though George had only visited Anglesey and the UK once before, the pair decided to take the leap. As Commonwealth residents with British grandparents, they qualified for ancestry visas, so after arriving in the UK they rented a short-term property to get to know the area better, reports Wales Online.
George told host Briony: "For me, I was here for the first time last November, like ever, even in the UK. And as soon as I crossed the bridge, it felt like being home. It's gorgeous, it's lovely, it's rugged, it's serene. The energy level is so calm."
They first viewed a stone cottage in Bryngwran that used to be a watermill in the 1800s, and still had a working water wheel. George and Briony loved the outside and the history, and began to tear up.
