BBC EastEnders fans 'work out' heartbreaking Reiss Colwell twist as he confirms he's married

Albert Square's residents geared up to mark the King's Coronation, Sonia Fowler was excited to celebrate her birthday with her boyfriend Reiss, but he was nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, over at the café, Rocky Cotton tells Kathy about overhearing Reiss on the phone to a mystery woman called Debbie, but she tells him to drop it, especially as it's Sonia's birthday. Looking disgruntled, Rocky comes close to sharing his suspicions about Reiss cheating on Sonia but just in the nick of time, Reiss appears with a new trumpet in tow for his girlfriend.
However, Rocky doesn't stay quiet for long as he demands the truth from Reiss about the phone call as Sonia walks in and overhears. Reiss is left standing in the Square mortified as all of the residents' eyes are on him.
But EastEnders viewers have predicted a twist that could explain Reiss' behaviour. Taking to Twitter some fans have suggested that Reiss' wife is unwell and lives in a care home or hospice, hence why he stated he loves his wife. One person wrote: "Rocky is a stirrer, I reckon Debbie the wife is unwell and in care #EastEnders.
"A second asked: "Reiss' wife is in a hospice or something? #eastenders", while a third chimed in with: "#Eastenders poor Sonia but I think the wife is in a care home and dying.
