EastEnders fans 'work out' date Lola will die after heartbreaking twist

EastEnders has aired some hard-hitting scenes in recent months as popular character Lola Pearce battles with a terminal brain tumour. And things will only be getting more emotional in the coming weeks as Lola, who has been given just weeks to live, is set to pass away - with fans thinking they have figured out the heartbreaking date.
In Wednesday's episode Lola was told she had just weeks to live rather than months and it looks like the young mum will sadly die on Wednesday May 31 - after fans have studied the upcoming episode summaries from the BBC. The programme description on the BBC website for that day simply says: "Jay faces the most difficult moment of his life", leading fans to believe Lola will tragically die.
Since being diagnosed with the terminal brain tumour in November 2022, Lola has done all she can to try and keep going for longer. She has gone through some palliative chemo recently but sadly that has not worked and on Wednesday she was told that the tumour had spread.
It is now causing too much fluid and putting pressure on her brain which is leading to her symptoms getting worse including her memory and mobility. After she was given the latest lot of devastating news, Lola asked her granddad Billy Mitchel to help her end her own life.
Lola, who is mum to young Lexi, told her pops: "This is only going to get worse, isn’t it? If I don’t recognise Jay or Lexi anymore I couldn’t bear it. "I don’t want to be just a person lying in a bed unable to do anything, you know? That is not me.That is not who I am." Clearly heartbroken, Billy attempted to reassure his dying granddaughter saying: "“That ain’t going to happen, ok?” The day before, Billy had found Lola in distress and feeling worse and promised her that
