BBC EastEnders Cheryl Fergison rushed to hospital and put on drip after 'agonising' 24 hours

EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison found herself in hospital after 24 painful hours at A&E. She shared the details of her conditon on social media, describing the ordeal as 'complete agony'
Cheryl, who played Heather Trott in the BBC soap, explained the that some things she had witnessed could not be 'unseen' as she put out a huge thanks to the NHS. Fans soon rushed to the social media post to share their best wishes.
Explaining in a video, she said: "Hi everyone, I've just spent the last 24 hours in AandE at Blackpool Victoria hospital. I've seen things in the last 24 hours [that] I can't unsee. I've been in complete agony.
"I've been made a million times better by the angels that are all of the NHS staff which I wanna thank, like, big time. When people say they don't get paid enough - they really don't get paid enough. We've got a broken system. It's gone to pot. It's shot.
"But it's still amazing and we still have it - just, by a thread. I wanna firstly say a huge thank you. I'm a lot better and when you sit for 24 hours in a chair in an AandE department being shipped off every six hours to go and get an IV, antibiotic drips, and come back again [video cuts off]."
In another twist, Cheryl recently quit a musical job before even starting due to backstage trouble reports the Mirror. She didn't share why exactly she was taken to hospital or why she required a drip; however, fans quickly sent warm wishes her way.
One person commented on her video: "Hope you feel better yes being a nurse I can tell you that we don't get treated very well by the NHS."
