EastEnders' Sharon Watts has a secret that Kat has discovered, and fans think they've figured out a Christmas twist. Kat Slater found out that Phil Mitchell is the real dad of Sharon Watts' son Albie, thanks to a recent DNA surprise during the episode which aired on Wednesday, 13 December. Sharon had Albie nearly four years ago after an affair with her now fiance Keanu Taylor, reports The Mirror.

Two legendary actors are set to join the cast of EastEnders over the festive period as George Knight is unexpectedly reunited with his adoptive parents, Gloria and Eddie Knight. Gloria will be played by Elizabeth Counsell, and Eddie will be portrayed by Christopher Fairbank.The duo head to Walford to try and rebuild their relationship with George, who they haven’t seen for over a decade, but it soon becomes clear they have a secret.

EastEnders viewers have been left less than impressed with a recent storyline on the soap, that saw Stacey Slater meet up with her stalker and attempted rapist Theo Hawthorne. Theo is set to face trial over his attack on Stacey, but Monday's episode saw the pair meet up ahead of the court date, with Stacey asking him to leave her alone.

It was revealed that George is currently serving a suspended sentence, prompting Linda and Elaine to try to come up with a plan to cover for him to ensure he doesn't go to prison.

EastEnders fans have praised George Knight for slapping Dean Wicks in "satisfying" scenes which aired on Monday, 20 November. George arrived upstairs at the Queen Vic with Cindy Beale to find Dean intimidating Linda Carter once again and quickly intervened. A visibly shaken Linda watched on as George told Dean to get out of the pub, but he continued to argue back.
