The future of Bradley and Barney Walsh on Gladiators has officially been confirmed as the BBC have now revealed the popular TV duo will be returning to present the second series of the smash-hit reality show. Earlier this week, news of the show’s renewal hit the press but initially no confirmation was given that the pair would be returning.
However, a BBC spokesperson confirmed to OK! on Saturday ahead of the final, that Bradley and Barney would be returning to the show next season. The popular show, which was revived by the BBC, is set to return after its successful comeback in January, with both presenters confirmed to be at the helm.
The exciting renewal news comes just before the final episode of the current series this Saturday night.
The reboot, hosted by Bradley Walsh and his son Barney, introduced 16 new Gladiators who participated in classic events like Duel and the Eliminator, as well as new ones such as The Edge.
The current team includes Gladiators Sabre, Legend, Nitro, Diamond, Phantom, Athena, Bionic, Fire, Giant, Dynamite, Viper, Electro, Apollo, Comet, Steel and Fury.
The latest news follows on from earlier criticism from viewers, with some suggesting that Bradley should step aside for a new presenter, while others questioned if Barney was too inexperienced for a role watched by so many, reports the Express.
