Live coverage on BBC Breakfast was interrupted this morning after one of the Salford Quays buildings reportedly had to be evacuated.
The building in MediaCity was reportedly evacuated due to an alarm at around 8.45am today (Friday). On BBC Breakfast, live coverage of a reporter with a Concorde plane in Bristol was interrupted and switched to national BBC News coverage of the Israel-Hamas War.
BBC Radio 5 Live also reportedly went off air for a short time. Viewers were left questioning what happened, with people taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to ask why the coverage had changed.

Dan wrote: "Has something happened in Salford? 5Live Radio is down and also the studio on BBC One has been changed."
Tony said: "What’s happening at Salford Quays? BBC Breakfast has gone off air suddenly".
The coverage appeared to go back to normal after around 15 minutes, with the programme returning to Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt in the Salford studio.
It is believed that people have been able to go back into the BBC building now. The BBC has been contacted for a comment.
