BBC Breakfast broadcast in Manchester cut off by protester

Naga Munchetty has hit back at a fan who questioned her eating "carbs". The BBC Breakfast star took to Twitter to share a status reading: "I'm at a friend's place.

BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty has shut down a personal trainer who criticised her diet on social media.The morning TV star is very serious about her health and fitness regime, and is regularly out running or enjoying a game of golf, often sharing snapshots of her activities on social media. When a follower then told her off for tucking into a bowl of pasta while she watched the Ryder Cup 2020 on TV, the 46 year old set them straight.

Louise Minchin has taken on a big fitness challenge, shortly after stepping down from her role as a host alongside Dan Walker on BBC Breakfast.The journalist took to Twitter to share the news with her fans, as she wrote: "I can't believe I swam 13km today, massively helped by an incoming tide and @herspirituk friends and @swimcathswim who somehow persuaded me it was a good idea.

Sally Nugent has recently stepped in as Louise Minchin's replacement on BBC breakfast, alongside co-host Dan Walker. She has previously been filling in on the show whenever regular hosts are unavailable, but has become more permanent since Louise's departure, and before that, reported on several big sports events.As for her own exercise regime, her social media suggests she likes to keep active as much as she can, and it's clearly working wonders, as she looks positively glowing.

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Dan Walker was left in hysterics on Monday's episode of BBC Breakfast as co-star Carol Kirkwood was dragged to the floor by a guide dog while live on TV. During the segment, which was filmed in Chelsea, London, Carol, 59, was pulled over by the "strong" pet pooch called Flash, which even resulted in the presenter losing her earpiece.

Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker has been rushed to hospital just hours before tomorrow's launch night.The BBC Breakfast host has just shared a snap of himself sitting in a chair whilst hooked up to various medical devices. Posting on both Twitter and Instagram at 8pm, Dan revealed that he had hit his head in training and received a CT scan, which thankfully came back all clear.

There will be no more early morning starts for the now former BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin – at least not too early.The 53-year-old served her last show as longstanding host on Wednesday morning, waking up at the painfully premature time of 3.40am over the course of her run presenting there.
