Global music icon Barry Manilow has sought to ease the concerns of worried fans over his upcoming Co-op Live arena gig by revealing a "back up plan" - amid chaos at the as-yet-to-open venue.
Barry is due to play Co-op Live on Sunday May 19 - four days after its new opening date. Last night, Take That moved their run of Co-op Live gigs from May 7 - 12 to the AO Arena, after the new £365m confirmed it would not be ready. Co-op Live is now due to open with Elbow's gig on May 14.

Now Barry Manilow's team have confirmed they've also RESERVED the AO Arena on May 19, just in case of any further problems arise. The extraordinary move was confirmed in a statement released by Barry's husband Garry Kief on his official X page last night.
It said they "shared the concerns" of fans over the chaotic situation unfolding at Co-op Live. But fans can be rest assured that the Could it Be Magic star WILL perform in Manchester one way or another on May 19.
The statement said: "Dear Friends…… Many of you have expressed your concerns about the ongoing status of the new Co-op Live Arena in Manchester. We share your concerns.
"Contrary to some opinions, however, we don’t have any double secret inside information on the condition of the building.
"We do know that our brilliant co-promoter, Danny Betesh at Kennedy Street Enterprises, already has a back up plan and just in case, has reserved the same night….MAY 19th at Manchester’s AO Arena.
"We also know that we limited capacity to 12,500 guests. That means that even if we have to move, there will plenty of room for everybody.
"Right now, that’s a big IF. And we don’t know. We promise that we will let you know as
