Jazz Tangcay Artisans Editor The category is… Renewed. “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live Untucked” has been renewed for Season 2.
The renewal by World of Wonder comes following the success of the series premiere on April 17, which was the highest-rated WOW Presents Plus original premiere since the platform’s launch in 2017. This landmark premiere came during a year with an 18% growth in international subscribers in January 2024 for WOW Presents Plus alone.
World of Wonder co-founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato said in a joint statement, “‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Live Untucked’ is a winner, baby! The WOWPresents Plus series was an instant hit with our viewers, and greenlighting season two has been the easiest decision of our careers. Combining the ‘Untucked’ format with the Las Vegas residency delivers all the thrills and chills ‘Drag Race’ fans crave – and a prime example of how WOW Presents Plus continues to provide an international platform for queer artists to be seen, heard and celebrated.” The second season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live Untucked” will premiere in 2025 and continue to stream exclusively on WOW Presents Plus.
The show follows all the behind-the-scenes action from the Las Vegas stage show “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!,” produced by World of Wonder and Voss Events, and features Drag Race alumni Alexis Mateo, Bosco, Derrick Barry, Lawrence Chaney, Pangina Heals, Latrice Royale, Coco Montrese and Kennedy Davenport. Season 2 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live Untucked” will continue the format established in Season 1 — transporting viewers backstage of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” while showcasing a heartwarming cast of rotating queens and following their daily lives on the Vegas strip.
