Barack Obama Praises “Broad Coalition” Of George Floyd Death Protesters, Calls On Mayors To Reform Use Of Force Policies

Brad Pitt has stepped out to show his support towards the Black Lives Matter protest in the US. The Once Upon A Time in Hollywood star, who has been couped up in his Los Angeles home since the Coronavirus-induced lockdown was announced, was spotted at a huge LA protest.

Nicola Sturgeon says she might have joined Scots in protesting racism over the US death of George Floyd had it not been for coronavirus. With a number of demonstrations planned across the country, the First Minister doubled down on calls for demonstrators to make their voices heard virtually and avoid risking a spread of the deadly bug.

While President Donald Trump is busy holding photo ops with an upside-down bible and demanding that protesters be handled by the military and threatening to unleash dogs on them, former President Barack Obama has decided to release a message of hope and unity. Since leaving the Oval Office, the Democratic icon has been rather silent on political matters.

Two small-scale protests are due to take place in Manchester tonight as part of as part of a UK 'stand up to racism day of action' following the death in the US of George Floyd.

Harry Styles is one of the many celebrities who are standing in support of George Floyd. After a video of the 59-year-old former football player being harassed by four policemen wherein one of them kneeled down on his neck until he lost his breath, circulated on the internet, protests are raging across the US. The incident has given a spark to the Black Lives Matter movement with major parts of the US seeing massive protests every day.
